Shekar Rao

Shekar joined TRC India in October 2003. Overseeing TRC India operations, he plays a pivotal role in driving value creation across the company.  Mr Rao brings in 17 years of rich experience in managing entire gamut of Accounting, Finance, IT, Defining Processes and Implementation of Systems. He has been part of teams that have rolled out ERP systems and standard costing packages. He has worked on Oracle Financials, Mfg/Pro & Deltek ERP systems to name a few.

Prior to joining TRC, Mr. Rao was with Bacardi India where he was responsible for Commercial, Accounting & Implementation of Systems. He was a member of Global Team, which implemented the Standard Costing module for International Operations.

Mr. Rao has a Bachelor of Commerce degree to his credit and has also qualified as Cost & Management Accountant (CMA), which is equivalent to CPA & CA. He was also chosen by Indian Institute of Management - Calcutta for its prestigious executive education program. He also holds Certificate of Achievement in ERP. Mr. Rao is a freelance columnist and writes articles on management in leading newspapers.
